We are involved in missions in a variety of
different ways. We are involved locally, nationally and internationally.
Local
Missions: We are involved with and
participate in the Mississippi River Ministry. This is a ministry of Southern Baptist Convention
that operates through the North American Mission Board. It involves ministry in the 8 states that
boarder the Mississippi. It involves coordinating efforts in these states
to minister to the poor and needy through the local churches. We join in with our sister churches
in the Beulah Baptist association to serve in the Obion, Lake, Weakley and Tipton county areas
to minister to those in need. Repairing roofs, wheelchair ramps, repairing floors, bathrooms and
many more needs that are too numerous to mention here are carried out by churches working together
for a common goal to glorify our heavenly Father and aid our fellow man.
National
Missions: We have partnered with
our sister churches in our association to carry out missions in Mississippi, Louisiana, Nebraska,
Missouri, Kentucky and Okalahoma. We have construction and ministry opportunities on all of these
mission endeavors. We are truly blessed to have such a neighborhood of churches in our area that
labor together for the Kingdom of God! God is always glorified in missions and much more when
sister churches labor together! We believe in that at Johnson Grove Baptist church.
International
Missions: We have been on
mission in Puerto Rico, Mexico, St. Thomas( U.S. Virgin Island). On these recent trips we have
labored along side our International Mission Board appointed missionaries as they seek to
minister to the people. These trips have involved construction of all types as well as
evangelism, and revival opportunities. We also have partnered with our local churches on these
international endeavors. We have a strong conviction that we can accomplish more together with
our sister churches than we can as a individual church. Our Heavenly Father has blessed this
conviction we hold fast to in our faith and service to His Kingdom.
